03 vs 04 vs 05 Tahoe Models

What is the main difference in 03, 04 and 05 Models? Is the gas mileage in an 03 much worse than 04 or 05?

I do know that in 05 GM added electric fans. I get about 13 mpg city and 18 highway with my 05. Not sure how that compares to the others.

i have an 04 and get anywhere from 18 to 22

Mine is an 03 with 5.3 engine. I added a K&N air filter and it improved city millage to 17 and hiway to 20.

I Have A 05 and I get 16/20.I also have A K&N filter

Is it safe to put the air filter in by myself or do I need some kind of machine I got a 05 Tahoe and its a k&n air system
