08 tahoe high fuel consmption

Hi, Guys
I have 08 tahoe LT, I have a problem in fuel consumtion.
I used it in state of Qatar which the weather is hot most of the year.
I used it to go to my work about 33 KM from my home ( almost high way )
I checked the avr. econ. ( after reseting it ) it was 16.3/100 L/KM
I compared it with my friends cars ( same location ) , Their car consumed only
from 14.7/100 to 15/100 L/KM.
My car done 97000 KM & I replaced the plugs & wires at 80000 KM
( with AC dilco spare parts ).
Also, I cleaned the air filter & throttle body.
I used gasoline octane No. 97 & synthetic engine oil
Can you help me ?

There is nothing wrong with your millage I am getting worse fuel consumption 17.9/100 L/Km in my 2011 Tahoe LTZ and have tried everything It seems like Chevy has a larger gallon for EPA's fuel millage for the Tahoe or someone needs glasses because the even driving at 55mph with cruise control I dont get more than 16/100 L/km
