I thought some of you might be interested to see a project I have been working on this summer. I have always liked the beauty and corrosion resistance of stainless steel, and decided to convert my Limited over to stainless bolts. Some bolts I will not convert for obvious safety design reasons, but most of the bolts and fasteners on my truck are ok to convert. Also I did not remove the fasteners holding the plastic upper intake manifold, I covered them with a washer and stainless cap nut.
This is not a cheap conversion to do at all, but it really dresses up the truck.
The water injection system install is a really cool upgrade to the truck. I was totally shocked at how much of an impact it had on a modern computer controlled engine. I don't know how much horsepower it adds, but it is pretty shocking when you are accelerating it feels much smoother. After running the system for a couple weeks I noticed the idle has become much smoother as well. I am attaching photos let me know if anyone wants to see a close up of anything or have any questions.
