2005 tahoe stereo system upgrade.

Hi,
I have just bought a 05 tahoe. I like the bosse sound system but I really want a Navigation system (double din) will an 07-12 nav system from a tahoe fit on mine? I want all the steering wheel controls to work. If not, what brand/type do you recommend? thank you in advance.

Do some Goggle searches, there are lots of threads about Nav upgrades. From what I have read, the 07-12 Nav units are not compatible with the computer in an 05. I just upgraded my Head Unit to the Nav. The part number that I found would match my system was 15800000. Keep an eye on e-bay and you can get one for a reasonable amount. They are mostly plug-n-play but you will also need a Nav Disk and a GPS antenna.
