5.3 conversion

I thought of doing that swap, but it isn't really cost effective to me. If you wanted something totally unique and maybe a little easier, World Products casts a hybrid block that uses old style crank rods and pistons and then LS heads and intake on top. It would be a bolt in to the truck chassis and transmission and then you'd have a totally modern top end.

I definately think that is a little more cost affective than going with the LS swap.

Thats true but, at least it would bolt right in without mods.
Something to look forward to in the future, not anytime soon.

I'm trying to talk my brother into buying that block for his 65 Tempest. It's Chevy powered. If he gets it and I get to build it, I'll let you know how it goes.

that 5.3 conversion sounds pretty good as long as you got a lil time and a extra set of hands here and there you shoudl be ok plug and play I'm gonna have to do that when i get back
