I have a 1999 2 door Tahoe that I want dual exhaust on, dumping out on each side behind the rear tires.

I was down at a shop today & they say they didn't see a way to do a pipe on the left side due to the break line, gas tank, etc.

Anybody have any experience / suggestions?

Thanks!

Could do a set of duals on either side, just have the drivers be fake?

I have a 99 2 door as well. I have been looking for a kit to run dual exhaust as wel. From my research there is not a off the shelf kit made for a 2 door like there is for the 4 door and suburban. However gibbson and flowmaster both make a kit with dual in single out for a 2 door. However after pricing the kits and getting an estimate from a shop that does custom exhaust I found that I could get a true dual exhaust custom built for about the same price as the single muffler kit. Hope this helps

I ran into same thing, I wanted duals out the rear but the two shops I took it to wouldn't do it because of the items in the way. I ended up with two new borla mufflers for free and had them dumped right in front of real axel. I would not suggest this as it sounds like crap... Way to loud for me. I'm actually going to try to trade the two borla mufflers for a flow aster dual in single out and just have a stock look again.

Run the exhaust down the passenger side then you can have both tail pipes on both sides. Yea one will be longer then the other but it will still work.
They still mounted the gas tank on the drivers side on the 2dr tahoe? I had a 93 blazer and it was in the rear back

Your right on the two doors the tank is mounted in the middle but there is some other stuff in the way like charcoal canister, brake lines, fuel lines and some other stuff.

You can still run duels. I ran it on those, the place just needs to know where to run it and where to put heat shields up.
Or you can do this, go and buy a bigger y-pipe and cats, then get a flowmaster cat back exhaust. That's what I did with my 4dr. It's basically duel in single out. Both pipes coming off the headers are 2 1/4 in all the way to the muffler and then the tailpipe is 3. Runs and sounds a lot better then stock

I was going to show you pictures of my 99 with dual exhaust but I'm not sure how to provide you with an image.
