I'm changing the rear shocks in my '99 4X4. It has a 4" lift.
The top end of the shock absorber, where it connects to the frame, the bolts are held in place by clips of some sort. While removing the bolts, the clips snapped, and now I cannot get ahold of them, and the bolts are just spinning free. Can't tighten them up, can't loosen them.
I can cut the bolts with an angle grinder/dremel, but I'd prefer not to. Even if I cut them out, what clip part do I need to replace up above the frame? I can't find them anywhere.
Tips?
