I have a 99 Tahoe, 4x4 with 5.7L. what I want to do is swap out for a better engine. I've read that a 6.0L from a 01-06 escalade or H2 is the ticket. but what I have acquired is a H2 - 2010 6.0L complete engine, harness with trans and transfer case with front diff and front axles..my question is. does anyone know if this will work with out any serious headaches? my understanding is that pre 2006 is an easy drop in deal. but because 07 and up is flex fuel, that I will have issues..I really would like to make this easy as possible. if anyone has any info that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. otherwise if a headache, then I have a low mileage 6.0l from a 2010 H2 for sale..or trade for what will work
