I just got a 2015 Tahoe LT. One of the first things I noticed was how the center console almost appeared to be molded specifically for resting most modern smartphones.
It's my understanding that Qi wireless charging is an option for LTZ models. My LT does not appear to have this option.
I've seen an aftermarket wireless charging "pad" available in the $140-200 range that suggests it's a direct-fit replacement. The "pad" for this charger seems to entirely replace the stock pad in the console.
Has anyone attempted installing a cheaper aftermarket Qi pad directly underneath the OEM pad in the center console? It looks like it would be possible to just glue/mount the "coil" directly to the OEM pad...
Any thoughts appreciated.
