i was just curious, whats the biggest an widest tire that can go on stock applications with little rubbing

ive seen that 285/75/16's will go with little to none rubbing..

curious if some 33 12.5/11.5 16's would fit with little to none rubbing.

I have 285/75/16 BF Goodrich All Terrains on my 2 door Tahoe that is completly stock and have no rubbing at all. 305/70/16 might fit they are an inch wider than the 285/75/16. A 33x11.50x16 is the same as the 285/75/16 and the 33x12.5 is the same as the 305/70/16. As far as 35" tires, not without a lift of some sort.

that is just what he wanted at the time. Then he went to a 2" body lift and 305/70/17 on the z71 tahoe wheels and now he just got a 6" lift and 37s

I run 285/75R16 BFG AT's on stock rims with only rubbing on the lower control arm when turning sharply on a downgrade or upgrade. I personally think this is a good tire size for stock 4x4's.

I've seen 305's fit stock, what's 10 more mm going to do? If they rub too much I'll go with a 3" body lift.

Would a 305/70/16 be the equivalent to say a 33" x 11.5"?
