car wash fresh paint

Some idiot ran into me about a week ago and i got my truck back on thursday ... i dont think its safe to take through the wash yet but i have a date tonight and wanted it clean haha

when can i run it through the car wash and what should i use until then
??

Washing shouldn't be a problem. Wouldn't wax for 4-6 weeks tho. Might check with whoever painted it on that.

I wouldn't take it thru a car wash tho. Hand wash it.

before the shop delivers your truck they do take give i a wash on an automatic wash.. i dont see a problem at all.

When he said "car wash", I was thinking of the brush kind. Also I've noticed that some of the "non-contact" car washes use some pretty harsh chemicals that might not be good for fresh paint.

Hope the date worked out whether the truck was clean or not.

Once the car comes out of the spray booth it can be washed any way you wish.
