Changing destination on NAV while driving

I have used many NAV systems before and the one in my 2008 Tahoe is the first one that does not allow me to input a new destination while driving. This is driving me nuts as I have to pull over to put in a new address. Not very functinoal when you are on the freeway. I am sure there is a way to disable this on the system through the GUI but don't know how to get into the system settings screens.

no way through the GUI. (pretty geeky term). Theres a way if you feel like tearing your dash out or you can purchase the GM lockpick.. go to http://www.lockpicksolutions.com to see what I am talking about.
