I have a 97 2 door - 5.7 350 CID - 4wd Tahoe. I recently had to replace the fuel pump. Since the replacement I am experianceing bogging down when I attempt to kick in the passing gear. When this starts it will not accelerate. If I kill the engine and re-start it will run great for a short time and begin to behave the same as stated before.

I had a shop look at it - they installed an anti-knock sensor and said that should fix it - it did not...

Any ideas?

So it only does it after it warms up? Maybe you ended up with a bad or weak pump. The pump needs to be able to push more volume of fuel when your pressing the pedal far enough to accelerate and downshift. If the pump is faulty and weak, it may start having problems once it gets hot after operating for a little while. Just a thought.
