I have a 08 Tahoe LTZ and its been in the shop 3 times for the same problem. Especially when I'm at a 1/4 tank and going down a hill the gauge goes to 0 and the low fuel starts beeping. It will go back up eventually but it is a real pain in the ass. The last time in the shop he said he replaced the sending unit but first hill I went down same thing!!!

Any ideas???

Mine is similar and I just believe that when the nose is pointing down the fuel is the furthest away from what the guage reads. When it gets back to level ground, the guage goes back up. I believe evey car I've ever had has readings based on the position of the fuel in the tank.

2001 Denali here and my gauge jumps around constantly. Usually always on empty when I have less gas. Word on the streets is that its attached to the fuel pump and if I want it fixed, they have to replace the whole sending unit.

I back into my driveway and it is not a dramatic angle at all, just enough so water runs down basically. Everytime it sits there gauge reads 1/8 to 1/4 lower than it really is.

Pretty ennoying when you start up for the day and don't know how much fuel you really have. Oh well.
