I have a 2000 Tahoe 4X4. The manual lists either a 3.73 or 4.10. I looked in the door jambs and under the hood and I don't see anything to tell me which it has, how do I find out?

Take your rear differential cap off, count the ring teeth and divide that number by the number of pinion teeth.

check in the glove box for your rpo sticker.

I scoured the doc you gave me a link to and finally found some gear ratio codes. It listed one for the rear axle and not the front. I assume the front would be the same otherwise you'd tear things up when you put it in 4X4. I came up with 3.73, is that the most common one?
