help - receiver hitch

hi... sorry for the stupid question, but im new to the trucks... just bought a 2007 denali, and was going to mount a yakima bike rack into the receiver hitch... yakima asks whether your car has a 1 1/4" or 2" receiver... I called 3 dealers who said there is no such thing, that there is just one universal size for all tow hitches, and that they don't know what the size is... can anybody help me?

Yours is 2 inch. They put the smaller sized hitches on smaller vehicles, but I've never seen anything but 2 inch on a full sized truck. But to be sure, all you need to do is measure the inside diameter of the receiver.
