ok so i finally got my vvme hid kits in a few days ago and installed them. i got the 8000k 35w highs and lows. i know its suppose to take a sec or two for the lights to warm up become bright but i think 4 secs is too long, sometimes 5sec. the kits came with 1 ballast per bulb=4 ballasts, so this also happens when i turn my high beams on and then again when i turn my low beams back on. is there a way to fix this. i dont think vvme offer a ballast to control 2 bulbs do they?.....another question is if i bought the 55w ballasts will it draw too much power, will i have to beef up the alternator or something?

Hids take a second to turn on, relay harness will help but you have to wait which is why I didn't get hid high beams.

i noticed before that some company offer dual bulb ballast. are these interchangeable with the vvme bulbs? also whats the best proven way for getting the 4/6 hi mod? i checked into mr. taillight.com but i know there are more inexpensive ways to do it. the "search" on here sucks and i came up with nothing.

Don't know anything about HID's or how spendy mr. tailight is but LMC has a relay kit for 40 bucks that will do the 4 hi mod. There's a thread in here with instruction on how to do the 4 and 6 hi mod but it's for 2003+ vehicles, I have a 2000 so I don't know if it's the same or not.

I'd be quick to answer your questions if you start spelling properly and stop using punctuation for your thread titles. Also a simple "bump" reply instead of "can anyone answer my questions" would be a better method for extracting pertinent information. Just a suggestion. BTW this took a solid 2 minutes of searching:

Hope this helps
