I was at a gas station today filling up my Tahoe after emptying the tank as much as possible. (I gave the guy $100 and got $7 back at $4.10 per gallon), I just realized I did 320 miles w/ a full tank of gas. This is the most miles I got since I got my Tahoe in 04/2007.

I did 50/50 highway and local between Los Angeles Downtown and Pasadena.

nice!
I filled up yesterday and it was 101.00$ and I had gotten 338mi from the 24.5g that I had used.

THe electric fans added 13mi/ a tank so far, and they were only on there for about 1/2 the tank. I think Ill really watch the driving style this tank.. my goal is 350mi for my daily driving.

You do know running your tank "as low as possible" is not good, right???

I have heard this from lots of people but no one ever seems to have a good answer for why. Can someone shed some light on this for me. In my 2001 Mercury Cougar (daily driver) I run it down "0" miles till empty on pretty much every tank. It has a 15 gallon tank and I put 14.5 gallons in it almost every time. The car has 106,000 mile on it and has had ZERO issue with it other than people running in to it. In the '07 Yukon it usually stays above 1/4 tank.

Why didn't you have an option for 400+ miles?
Last tank was 403 miles on 23 gallons, this was only half of it on highway.
Have done 440 mi on a tank.

I'm the same way... I ran the 2003 Z71 down to the gas light just about every time and got 112k trouble-free miles out of her.

Just did a mixed trip...about 70% highway and 30% back country roads and jockying trailers around in 4-lo...highway speeds were on average 80mph or so...went 372 miles to 23.4 gal...this is with 2.5" leveling/magnaflow catback/Edge Evo on economy/airaid intake/305/55-20's/and a 4.10 rearend.

With Wide Tires and a 4:10 Rear Gear, that was outstanding. Very few people can match that.

Just came back from a trip (Idaho - California). About 880 miles round trip and it took two tanks (52 gallons). I was travelling between 70 and 85 mph. FYI, I have the 4.10 rear diff and the only performance mod is a Magnaflow muffler.

As far as city driving (stop and go), I have been getting ~350 to 375 miles per tank (~22 gallons).

InTruck, how do you like the 2.5" leveling kit and how did it do off-road? Yeah I know, thread jack:gy:

I love it...my tahoe used to be dropped 2/3 and I finally ahd enough of it this past winter when I was constantly traveling on snow covered highways...I wanted a good balance of a slightly lifted truck and a good daily driver..i have achieved that and maintained a factory ride and handling..only other suspension mod I may look into is Hotchkis swaybars...other than that this truck is exactly what I needed...off road i would lose the lower front valance and possibly the running boards...will give about 2-3" more clearance.

I was getting well over 400 when I had my stock rims and tires. I'm anxious to see how much of a drop in mileage I get with 24s.
