Locking Center Console Lid Key. Anyone?

Sold my '99 4 dr LT & bought an '01 4 dr LT(autoride). It has a center console lid with a key tumbler but it didn't come with the key. It's not the ignition key. Slot looks like it's a one side cut key. The dealer doesn't even know where to get the key from. Anybody else have a key for there's. Where did you get it? How much? I refuse to buy the whole lid just to get a new key & lock. Maybe i should try another dealer.

My mom was the Finance Manager at a local Chevy Dealership, I asked their parts department and they didn't know where to get them either.

go to a lock smith they should be able to pick the lock for you

I ended up replacing the cylinder with a multi-purpose mailbox/locker cylinder and a bit of filing.

Well it's not locked Dennis but Grebbler the mailbox lock sounds like a possible idea. I'll look into that.
