Lug nut question...

Maybe a stupid question, but how do I remove the black plastic covers on the lug nuts without damaging the rim center or the cover itself? Pull it straight out or twist it? ... first Tahoe.

if they are the same as my 96 P/U you just unscrew them. They have a little notch that kind of locks them in there, so the first twist is a little tough.

speedr1023 is right just put a socket on them and you can turn them by hand.
