Just wanted to say hi and that I am awaiting delivery of my new 08 Tahoe LTZ. They said that it has already been shipped on the 7th and should be arriving either Thursday or Friday this week. It has been about 4 weeks and the anticipation is really starting to get to me. I can't wait. Will post again once it comes in.

It's in!!!

I just took a look at it with all of the plastic wrap and foam bumpers on the outside and will be taking delivery on Friday. Will post some pics then. Does anyone know what is different with the 2008 compared to the 2007? They also are recommending the Simoniz System 5 treatment to the interior and exterior. What is everyones thoughts on this treatment?

Thanks,
Jake

Welcome! You will generally pay a HUGE premium for any such services at the dealership. They make large profits on this kind of thing, and you will likely do much better by finding a reputable local detail shop and having them apply a paint sealer then a paste carnuba wax, and Scotchguard on any fabric inside.

A professional COMPLETE interior and exterior detail with wash, hand-wax with a paint sealer, and even an engine dressing, should cost you around $250-$300. Of course it's up to you, but you should be aware that the dealership is marking up this service to you by a factor of 2-3.
