I have a 99 Tahoe. Last week I noticed that my turn indicator light was blinking fast, so I assumed that I had a light out. I checked it out and was surprised to find that I have no brake lights (none of 3), and neither turn signal works, exept the front ones work fine. My tail lights work when I turn on my headlights. I checked all of the fuses and can't find a problem. I am at a loss as to where to look next. Some people mentioned in other threads that trailer hitches can cause problems and so can a brake light switch above the brake pedel? Can someone help me on this weird one?

(Thanks, I am getting tired of turning on my headlights to simulate stop lights!)

pull your tail lights out. sounds like you may have bad tail light boards if its not the hitch wiring
