Noob here, hoping to get and give good info on the forum.

My '04 Tahoe LT has 16x7 stock wheels with 265/70-16 tires, and from what I can find they have a 31mm offset.

I'm considering some CL take-offs from a 2014 or 2016 Silverado, but haven't been able to see them in person yet. Those appear to be 17x8s and have 265/70-17s (online lookup indicates a 24mm offset).

From what I can tell the 7mm difference in offset will make the bigger wheels ride slightly closer (5 or 6mm) inside the wheel well, but not enough to cause any rubbing. Any comments or suggestions on that?

Also, I'm wondering if the 2014-2016 TPMS sensors are compatible with the '04 system.

Thanks!

Gave up on the wheel change and picked up some all-terrain tires for my current wheels.
