I'm looking at some 20" wheels/tires for my 05 Yukon--assuming my factory wheels are ~30 lbs (a guess based on heavier 17" aftermarket specs), the 20" combination will be around 11-14 pounds (15-20%!!) heavier per wheel/tire than my stock 17's. I'd rather not undo all the benefit from planned CAI/chip/exhaust upgrades, so...

Should I expect to see a noticeable impact on mileage and/or performance (acceleration and braking) with the 20's?

If so, any recommendations on wheel brands that tend to be lighter weight? All the info I see online tends to be very short on real specs.

What is the approximate weight range of 20" wheels? The ones I'm looking at are almost 40 pounds.

If this issue has been discussed previously, I apologize--please post a link.

I just put 20's on mine, went with the KMC SS chrome,a dn 285/50/20's...i can see a small degrade in breaking, but not so much in take off performance. i'm sure the taller tirte hurt a tad, but the way it looks, it's worth it :)
