Hey everyone,

I bought 2 pairs of HIDs from DDM Tuning, and I must say, I love them. Each kit cost me $70. It took about 2 hours to install both kits

They were backordered for a couple days, but they were very helpful.

Let me know what you think.

Here it is with the Low beams completed and only 1 fog completed.

They're looking sweet to me!...
They seem kinda bright to oncoming traffic?

thats the camera. He has them in projector headlights. They dont look stock but this still projectors. He would probably get the best results with his stock denali projectors.

I'm running a 10,000k kit. 55w in the low beams and 35w in the fogs. I was worried that they would come out too purple, but I love em. From inside the street is much more visible than stock.

I was using my iPhone to take the pics, and they just show up much brighter. I was thinking of putting my stock projectors back in, but i can't stand the yellow reflector on the side. I bought these aftermarket projectors without caring for the halos. I just wanted a clear reflector. But now that the hid fogs match the color of the rings...i'm happy with them. If the lens starts to melt, the stocks will have to go back in.

You will notice a better beam paddern and much sharper cutoff. The gm projector is a true projector and not an ebay specail. Ie gm projector is glass, and better designed. Ebay is plastic and made to look like the gm one when its really a reflector with a projector lens.

You could just black out your reflectors with a smoked Lamin-X film like I did, not only does it look alot better, its removable whenever you want. I also have Apexcone/DDM slim ballast for my Ho like you do. I want to change my uninstalled 35W 5000k fog kit to a 35W 8000k fog kit, how blue is 55w 10000k on yours, because I heard it would be similar to 8000k 35W kits due to color washing from heat?

You've got a sweet looking truck bigjherms, I have a black Yukon as well, yours has the look I am wanting out of my truck!! That pic of the one completed fog next to the stock light fog is a crazy difference, I know they are brighter now but are they that much more useful than before or are they still there for looks only?
Also, is your GMC grille emblem the one without the red, hard to tell from the pic. If so, where did you get it from?

Sweet truck brotha!!!

What did you do with your stock headlights? I'd take them off your hands since I've wanted to try a projector retrofit for awhile.

The 55w 10000k does look more like 8000k. Both kits on my truck are 10000k, but as you can tell, the 55w looks more white than the 35w fogs.

Sweet truck brotha!!!

Thanks for the props! The hids make a huge difference in road visibility. I used to buy those cheap-ass, hid-looking bulbs. Those would burn out every 6 months, and were totally for show.

When I found these kits for only $70 each...i thought it was too good to be true. Now the road is brighter and whiter.

The emblem was on the truck when I bought it.
