Hey guys,

Anyone know of a good/cheap place to get my rims powdercoated? Looking in the South Bay/Orange County area of CA, but will travel a lil bit if the price is right...

Thanks in advance!

yeah, i tried that first.

But it would be great to find a place that someone on here has used and would be able to recommend instead of closing my eyes and pointing at a screen.

Keep your eyes open and dial the phone instead. Maybe they have some customers they can refer you to.....so you can see a finished product.

Thanks,

I was just asking if anyone had any firsthand experience, since this is supposed to be a place to come to ask questions just like that. It would be nice if anyone here had any knowledge of 'this shop is good' or 'stay away from this shop.'

I searched the forum to see if this topic was already covered, and couldn't find anything. I didn't realize my question was going to generate a response like that. Its easy to call a bunch of places and ask them for quotes, but i doubt they would tell me 'yeah, we overcharge and don't do great work.'

So, has anyone ELSE used a shop to powdercoat anything in SoCal that they could recommend?

I have a powdercoating shop in Georgia (Mike on this board) but he does not really do wheels.

I do them, but I try to avoid them! Calipers are my specialty.

sorry, Mike. That is what I meant to say that you do wheels, but try to avoid them.
