Question for Z71 owners...

Have any of you Z71 owners had someone in your truck touch your brushed aluminum trim on the dash with their greasy fingers?

If so, what have you used to remove those stubborn greasy fingerprints that show up so prominently and look like crapola on that nice satin finish aluminum? (without harming it) I tried wiping with a damp rag and it doesn't seem to faze the prints. I also get them on the trim of the steering wheel because of the way I hold it.

Any suggestions? :confused2:

I don't have a Z71 but would try an alcohol wipe followed by a paper towel or other grease free cloth.

Meguiars quick interior detailer works great. It works on dash plastics or aluminum or even the glass (plastic) of radio. It leaves no greasy feel. Everything just looks new.

It will remove the prints and can be used for all of the rest.

I normally take the my hoe to the car wash and let the "pros" clean it. I thought they only used a damp rag to wipe it off.

I just use a microfiber towel and it will come right off.

Yep microfiber rag with mild carwash soap/water does the trick. Are you eating KFC in your truck !

On another note, I have rust spots on the outside brushed metal trim. I tried a few products but can not get it off. Anyone have any suggestions? Going to the dealer hopefully this week for routine maintenance and I will have them look at it...
