"Rear Access Open"

Today on my work vehicle, 2009 Tahoe PPV, the "rear access open" began to flash on the dash along with the doors locking and unlocking. Any idea what it is? I've read where it may be the BCM or an assortment of switches and latches. I wasn't sure if anyone knew definitively.

The rear door is secure and the only way I could get it to stop flashing/locking was to unplug the purple connector on the BCM.

Nobody has had this problem? I had to reconnect the purple plug into the BCM as it affects the rear brake lights as well. I still have the locks cycling while flashing "rear access open."

I had a wire that was broke and shorting out on the rear hatch switch. I fixed mine by myself and took a couple hours but saved myself $400.00 if I would have taken it to the dealer.
