Rear Hatch Leak???

I found some wet carpet the other day in the cargo area on the passenger side, right infront of the latch trim plastic. I removed the plastic trim and found small amount of water in the channel.

Has anyone had this problem??? What was the cause and the fix for it?

I was unable to get anymore water inside using the garden hose.

ad this problem and I know of a couple of others as well...it is coming from the boot where the wires run from the truck to the hatch...it is up by the headliner...I just took some silicone and sealed the boot, it is a poor design by GM...some leak some don't...water gets in and runs down the D pillar and then collects on the floor.
