Rear speaker issue

So my rear roof left speaker buzzes sometimes when i turn my car on and off. also while im playing music it will buzz. its a loud annoying buzz. I installed a new deck and it is smart enough to tell when this is happening. it will read failure and the buzzing stops, and the speaker goes silent, so i think the deck stops sending to that speaker.
so im wondering what the heck could be the issue...
a short in the wiring?
just a messed up speaker?
anyone else had this issue?

could be a short or blown speaker. your best bet would be to take it down and take a look at it.
