Just get them smoked or buy aftermarket projectors with no amber. I like my oems and the amber is fine by me, might buy some clean (non-ricer) clear running light housings but the aftermarket lights are always cheap and fit like garbage. Drop some loot on some black projector housings and smoked clear driving lights and you should be fine, just spend good money or the quality goes out the window.

I was wondering if you could heat up the housing, remove the face and take the amber out?

I know someone who did it and sealed it up very well. If you don't, you'll get condensation

You won't get the housings apart unless you dedicate a sunday to it, buddy did his in 4 hours with an oven and I don't think it was worth it.

There's not a whole lot of choices without any amber, at least not on ebay.

just a warning:
if you get projectors off ebay they will most likely come with the crappy H4 bulb with no place to put your 9006 bulbs, i had tho buy a metel file and grind the hell out of it to make it work. only took me 1 day to do both lights tho.

thats only with tahoes, the yukon ones give you 9006 or sometimes even 9005 for both lights.

The exact ones!?! i thought they had amber in them?? WEAK !

your probably right you could've saved a lil but i don't think these aftermarket headlights can handle the heat from hid's like the denali ones would..just my opinion. unless you mod em up.

ANd hey thanks again for that offer RT, I'll let ya know tomorrow:thumbsup:

I've made up my mind, i'm gonna experiment getting the amber out of the housings, so we'll see how that goes. lol I'll probably start a new thread about that one. So i guess if the offer still stands, let me take both of them from ya.:D just let me know how i can pay ya.
