Cracked one of my taillights last week so I decided to buy a set of Denali lights however to my surprise my existing lights will not just plug into the Denali lights. Anybody got any ideas???

you have to unscrew the tips of the prongs off of each tail light and then swap them, then you need a new wiring harness.

You can use a utility knife to "chip" the opening so that the Tahoe bulb base will plug into the Denali light housing. Many have done it and it takes no real time.

Line up the bulb base and see which way it lines up best then note the small area you have to remove. DON'T FORGET TO REARRANGE THE LIGHTS FIRST(REVERSE ON BOTTOM FOR DENALI)

You don't have to "rig" them. The GMC and Chevy bulb surrounds have slightly different keys or coded shapes. If you match the opening shape to the bulb surround it will still rotate and lock in and it will be water tight.
