The speaker/mic above your head makes a noise

The speaker/mic that is part of the OnStar setup in my 2004 makes a static type noise when you first crank the truck. Any ideas how to fix that?

Are you talking about the circle above your head? If so thats not the onstar mic its part of the auto climate control. There is a fan in there that can make noise.

Yep that's it, well dumb me thought it was for onstar,LOL My bad. So it is normal for it to make some noise?
