Vin # help

Hi there, im in need of a little help. I came a cross an 05 tahoe at a junk yard and i want to get the front diff from it but the yard guy doesn't know how many miles the truck has or so he claims. I dont want to spent $400 and find out its no good coz it has a ton of miles so if i remember correctly there was a guy here that works for a dealer and can find out all info if a vin # is provided. Please let me know if any one know the guy, any help is greatly apreciated

You mean carfax? Im talkin about dealer records, you know it tells you what has been done if anything doring the its life
