I just picked up an 07 Z71 with the 3LT package. (picks are posted in the picture area...) According to the brochure, I'm suppose to get the one year free with the Directions and Connections plan since I have the 3LT package. However, when I got my little intro with the OnStar rep, she said that I only have the Safe and Sound plan. What should I be getting? I'm not willing to pay an extra $100 for the direction and connections, but if I'm suppose to be getting it, then I want to make sure that I'm getting it!!!

With all of that just being said, how often do y'all actually use the OnStar services?

Brochure does state that..

Actually i have the tahoe equipment book and brochure right in front of me... and it actually states the directions and connections is standard in all models.. however when i spoke to my dealer that addition onto the 1year free trial is extra

i love the onstar phone... cant wait to get verizon so i can link up my cell to the tahoe.. sweet..

onstar phone is ok..personally I think it's a little more appropriate for business types to use bluetooth as the speaker phone is a little ostentatious. I personally would never talk to anyone who was on speaker. It's just not the same quality as a wired headset or even bluetooth.

As far as directions and connections...it's ok..not great...Save your money and buy a $300 dollar nav like garmin or use a bluetooth gps puck with your blackberry. My wife hates the onstar..sometimes you get great support and other times not so much...
