I have a chance to buy some 18" alloys off an '08 hybrid Tahoe for my '03 Tahoe that currently has 16's.

I've heard there's a difference in the wheel offset between these two years but not sure what that means. Will I run into any problems?

I'd just like to know before I pour a bunch of money into rims and new tires.

Thanks, Jim

I would think so. I know the 20's would fit...

So, another question.

Is there a difference between the wheels on a hybrid vs. regular?

Is there a reason I shouldn't use the hybrid wheels on a regular Tahoe?

Thanks, Jim

Probably just style. Hybrid wheels are more exclusive since they only come with hybrid vehicles.

I've read several places that the new Tahoe has +31 offset. Our cars are hubsentric.

All the 6lug gm wheels are hubcentric 6 x 5.5" and will interchange with any other 6lug gm truck.

I dont think you will need spacers. A lot of people have done this sort of swap w/o any issues.

Ok. I really like the black chrome wheels in the ad. They would look good on my light grey Hoe.

Yes, the hybrid ones are aluminum, and the regular ones are alloy, so the hybrid ones are lighter-thus better for fuel economy.
