I searched and found no prior discussions for the best windshield wiper. I’m in need of a new set. Granted they are not going to break the bank but, I have purchased sets in the past that were disappointing. I would like to avoid that problem this time. With the gamut of choices these days I was just wondering if anyone had purchased a set recently and said to themselves… damn, these are great..this is all I’m buying from now on! Failed posted are welcome also, at least I’ll know what to stay away from. Thanks!

I used to get refills from, believe it or not, my BMW dealer for $6.00 for the pair! I think they were Tricos, cut to fit, and they worked well, lasted at least a year or so.

Well, they closed down so I had to find another source.

I just put on a set of TripleEdge wipers. Got them at Wal-Mart for $7.50 each (full arm with blade) and popped them on. They seem to work real well, but they're just a couple weeks on the truck now. We'll see how they hold up.

But, they come with a lifetime replacement guarantee. I filled out the stuff and sent in their registration and all.

We'll see how that goes when I go to replace them (probably in a year or so when they get crappy).

I went with these ‘ANCO Contour - All Season Performance!’… looks like they are the same concept as the Bosch.

**ANCO Contour, the latest technology in premium profile-style wiper blades, provides superior blade-to-windshield contact for an optimal viewing area. The exclusive wiper formulation and its unique one-piece design resists corrosion caused by the elements and freezing. This results in a premium option for all season performance.

O’Reillys has them on sale right now for 25% off!! I got 2 of them for 30 bucks.
Not sure how they are going to hold up but they work 100% better than the ones I just took off.

Thanks for the input guys!!

Piaa Super Silicon, I've had them on the past 3 vehicles I've owned and they're awesome! You have to clean the windshield with a supplied alcohol wipe and run the wipers dry for a few minutes to build up a thin layer or silicon that acts like rainX, I've never had an issue with mine.

+1 on the Bosch Icons. I've had mine on for a year, and through one winter/Texas summer they still work like new.

I love the bosch Icons on my yukon. I went ahead and tried Rain-x latitude for the silverado since they looked the same, but IMO the bosches are much better, my rain-x sqeak and streak. Its horrible. After a coat or rain-x on the windhield they wipe better, but are still noisy. First and last pair. Stickin to bosh also my rainx even though I followed their guidelines the passenger one seems to long and hits part of the truck every wipe.
