thinking of buying an up grade to my 99 Yukon

If you were to purchase a new 'used' SUV, what would it be? Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Escalade budget is between the years 2013 to 2016. I've had my 99 Yukon a while....It may be time to move on. I know they may all have their problems, but just asking are there real disasters in the make/year...

    dual exhaust

I bought the Thrush Turbo mufflers through Autozone. They were $28 each two years ago with 2.5 inch diameter in and out. I noticed a little better throttle response and about 2mpg more a gallon on flat roads. Passing other vehicles was much better than stock. Let me know if this helps you out...

    dual exhaust

The vehicle in question is a 99 Yukon 5.7 with dual inlet, single outlet stock exhaust system. I was hoping to change over to a dual exhaust cat back system. I have seen dual systems on youtube featuring the 99 Yukon/Tahoe, but I dont know how the driver side exhaust pipe crosses over...

Some final up grades 99 yukon Part 1 for pictures

I'm close to completing my upgrades to my 1999 Yukon. This is a stock daily driver, and vacation trip vehicle. As I have noted in past post (years past) I purchased my Yukon new in 1999. It spent it's entire life in the elements, never been garaged. The best vehicle I've ever owned, and I'll...

Master cyl up grade 99 yukon

This may well be a really stupid Question, but What does the 9/16 or 1/2 refer to when a brake line is 9/16-18, or 1/2-20? Is it the nut size or diameter of the the threads? I'm ready to do the Master Cylinder up grade, but the adapter I have BLF-26C will not screw into my Dorman M630031...

I have a Yukon (rear wheel drive) that is still riding on the original shocks. I have raised the vehicle about 2" with spacers at the rear leaf springs and a doughnut type spacer on the front coils. Can anyone suggest a set of shocks that would be extended to compensate for the 2 " rise, and...

    A/C problems

The compressor is not cycling on/off as if it were low on coolant, when it gets cold it's cold+- 39 degrees. I think the charge is good, which leaves the cycling switch? Where is the cycling switch? Thanks for responding........appreciate it. Ron

    A/C problems

Hi all....I posted back in March that I completed my intake gasket and spider replacement, so far the old Yukon runs really a lot better and no anti freeze leaks, every thing looks good.
