the abs jogging at low speeds is a chevy recall and you wont have to buy anything, just go to the dealer. i replaced my intake gasket also, its pretty easy took about 1-2 hours. the rear ignition packs on the valve covers get in the way and need to be moved. thats probably the hardest part ha.

for the transmission to not select reverse after the trip seems like coincidence. how many miles are on the truck?? i would let a tranny shop check it out, the tranny is a 4l60e for your reference. usually the reverse gear will have nothing to do with the forward speeds
