Thanks for the laugh this morning guys...I needed that to start my day. I'm left wondering what beaches he likes to walk so I know which ones to avoid?
I have never seen a "factory" option for pinstriping on Tahoe's. There are striping kits available at dealer level, and are installed after delivery to dealer, but it would be odd to have it "cleared" over, unless someone went to the trouble and expense to have them painted on instead of the...
I agree that this thread will go on...and on...and on. I was only answering the question about the DIC oil life monitor, and the change GM made in 2011 with oil. I know everyone has a different "read" on what correct is, including myself. My trucks get changed once a year with low miles each...
The oil life monitor system will work if you use dexos blend oil. Chevrolet made this change in 2011 because the monitor system was not accurate. With the blended oil, it should be accurate. Anything 2011 and newer uses the dexos blend, except for the performance engines, which will be moble...
I sell these, and own one. I have not experienced anything like what you are talking about, nor have I had any feedback from any customers here with similar complaints. If nothing else gets resolved, don't be afraid to call the Chevy assistance with service problems. I would agree this is not...
It sounds like you have a 3LT. Send me your vin, and I can look up which equipment group you really have. You can do this through the "build sheet" section above the forum section.
I know we can order new stickers for our stock vehicles that become damaged when taking off the windows, but I really don't know if they can go that far back for a 2011. Do you have a GMC store close by? I would try them first.
honestly, it depends on how you view warranties. I am a believer, and have them on both our 2010 silverado and 2012 tahoe. I would make sure they are GM protection plans, and not third party. Third party warranties tend to be a pain in the a$$, but not always. It will make a pricing difference...
If your tahoe is a 07 or newer, remove the lower plastic spoiler from the painted bumper. You will gain a few inches of clearance. If you drive on beaches, you should do the same thing, or it will come off for you automatically. haha.
probably your control module is going bad, and I don't think it's a cheap fix. A dealer can check your fob's to make sure they are working okay before you get into a more expensive repair.
The only fog lights from factory are controlled by a button below the instrument panel dimmer contro knob, left of the wheel. I don't think LS group trucks had fog lights, so my guess is they are aftermarket.
We're on our second LTZ, and both have been great trucks. I would buy another if need be. I'm not aware of any problems that keep occuring in these, and I work at a dealership. I have seen a real problem child, and they traded out of it. But that is a rare from what I see. The customer...
