package lift kit for '04 Tahoe

I do installs on the side and have used a couple different setups. Luckily the 2wd Tahoe/Suburban is has the exact same suspension as the 4wd. This means that any 4wd kit will work on a 2wd truck. As far as suspension kits, you have several options. These are a few brands that have kits...

    rear spacer install

there are zero rubbing issues with this setup, so there definitely would not be any with a wider stance.

    rear spacer install

i am not sure on the exact offset you would need, or could get, but i can tell you that most aftermarket wheels that you get are going to have an offset that will set your tires out some. i know that is what i look forward to for mine.

    rear spacer install

thanks! i enjoy it. it would look better without the plastic steps, but that goes back to the issue of it being too tall for most people. i do plan to swap on some NFab steps in place of the plastic running boards. since i have to keep a step, it might as well look good and be strong. i...

    rear spacer install

thanks! i definitely enjoy it. it drives like stock, but has the feeling of a bigger truck. it's always nice to set your grocery getter apart from the rest. for the $150 or so that it cost (+ my personal labor and a couple hours of my time), it is a great worthwhile mod. i did add...

    rear spacer install

this is mine after the Ford keys, Suspension Maxx 1.5" rear spacers, and 285/75r16 BFG MTs: this was after the lift...stock tires: this is stock:

    rear spacer install

the Ford keys yeilded me 3" of lift in the front. the 1.5" rear spacers leveled the rear to be level with the front, which is 3" higher than stock with the Ford keys. the rear is 1.5"-2" higher than the front..stock, so only adding the 1.5' spacer made mine level with the front after it was 3"...

Is there a leveling kit for an 02 tahoe?

do a search for the part #s, and get the Ford F-150 tbar keys and 1.5" rear coil spacers. this is good for up to 3" of lift and will fit 33" tires. the installation is very easy. a couple hours with hand tools in the driveway and it's done.

    How are Sony headunits?

haha. it's fairly harsh, but sums up my feelings with that company. between their whole 'rootkit' fiasco, poor build quality, and poor sound quality across the board, i have no need for them. i am also not a huge fan of proprietary devices/software/etc., which they have and have had a lot...

    How are Sony headunits?

sony is a waste company wide, but their car audio is somehow worse than the rest of their stuff.

Height w/ 4" Lift - Will it fit in Garage???

76" stock height + 4" lift height over stock = 80" + potential 2" from larger tires over stock = 82" that is assuming the lift isn't actually more than 4" and you get an actual +2" from the larger tire. it's likely that at least initially, you will gain more than 4" of lift from that...

pics of the 02 hoe....suggestions for lift kit or rims

Ford keys were $75 from the dealership Suspension Maxx 1.5" coil spacers were $80 from www.summitracing.com so roughly $160 gets this done. i also got longer KYB Monomax shocks for the front which were $120 from www.summitracing.com i need to get the longer set for the rear too, just...

pics of the 02 hoe....suggestions for lift kit or rims

definitely all black. the tbar keys and spacers are VERY easy to install. i did mine in about 2 hours total, working by myself with handtools. ditch the steps if you can. mine would've been in the trash months ago, but my wife needs the step to get in. however, i will be replacing...

    rear spacer install

i didn't need one installing my 1.5" spacers, and have not needed them before. every truck is different, you may find that you need them. i just mention them now, because sometimes it's easier just to go to autozone and rent them before you get started than when you're under your truck cursing...

    rear spacer install

no prob. PM me or email me if you have any questions along the way. i did the spacers on mine, start to finish in about an hour (no air tools). i've done several spacer installs, so this was just like any other solid axle install.

    rear spacer install

*it is not always 100% necessary to remove the tires, but i had to, and it is way easier to do it from the start than to realize you need to after the truck is off the ground* - loosen the lug nuts - jack the truck up - put jackstands under the frame as far to the rear as you can go, and...

pics of the 02 hoe....suggestions for lift kit or rims

i run Ford torsion bar keys and 1.5" Suspension Maxx spacers with 285/75r16 BFG MTs (32x11.50r16). i plan to get some black wheels ASAP. these are the two styles i am personally interested in: American Racing "Predator" Pro Comp "Series 7089" you should black-out your...

    Amp power!!

this is what you are looking for.... http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=713&i=211BAGMT&tp=2681 of course you can probably find the samething at walmart, autozone, bestbuy, circuitcity, etc., but that is essentially what you want. it replaces the factory post and has...

    looking for speaker configuration input

to each their own i guess. it's not something would use now (maybe a few years ago), but it is a nice looking product if that is the 'style' you're looking for. i will say the exposed mounting screws on the A pillar tweeter and D pillar 5.25" speakers takes away from the potential clean look...

    Another coil spacer question

for the front - KYB 565076 for the rear - KYB 565105 (this is model # i have, but i need to double check to be sure) these are actually a Dodge part #, but they are a longer shock for a tahoe/suburban. a lot of people on www.Z71tahoe-suburban.com are trying out the extended length...
