My 2004 Tahoe has factory the Bose speaker/amp setup. My battery was completely draining if i didn't drive the car every day. After troubleshooting i've narrowed it down the problem to my factory amplifier. When my car is completely shut down (stereo as well) I can hear a very quiet fussy noise coming from my speakers. When i unplug the harness from the AMP (located under center console), the problem goes away. So there is obviously some type of issue with either my AMP or faulty wiring....

Has anyone heard of this problem or have any guidance?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

It's rare but the switching circuit in the amp can become faulty causing the amplifier to either remain on or or not turn on.

To isolate the problem I would first see if you can pick up a used amp on Ebay, if that fixes your problem then you're done otherwise resale the amp and start chasing wires.
