I have to replace my 4.10 (8.25 ring)front differential ring & pinion. People are trying to sell me a 4.11 (4.25). The rear is code CT5 for a 4.10. Will a 4.11 in front cause problems? Many Thanks from a new comer.

4.10 Ratio

Many Thanks,
I was sure that would be the answer. However parts people have tried selling me the 4.11. On a non-4 wheel drive, there is uasally a difference in the front and the rear. I guess, the reason they are trying to sell the 4.11, as most do not carry the 4.10 (8.25), but carry the 4.11. The tag on the front differential shows it's a (8.25) and the code in the glove box is CT5, which is for a 4.10.

Many thanks for taking the time to answer my question and confirming the ratio.
