Hey brother, I have been going through the same dilemma myself cuz I want bass and clear sound at high volumes too but there are SO many to choose from-even in your price range. But the main thing you have to decide is if you want components or coaxials. Coaxials are often 2/3-way speakers that have a tweeter built in whereas components have more like a 6.5 inch woofer(not a sub) and then a pair of tweeters to go with them. Components cost a bit more though. Here's a few links to some of the brands that I have narrowed my search down to cuz they have at least 65watts rms and are in our price range. I know some of these are slightly over $100. I hope this is helpful. There are way too many to discuss and there are tons of brands like Pyle, Power Acoustik, Boss and several others that are really inexpensive but have decent wattage. I assume they won't be as good as the brands w/ good reps, but I did include two different sets of Pyles at the bottom of the page. The blueish ones seem pretty decent and they are Pyle 'Dryvers' which is supposed to be Pyles "higher end" gear, though I use the term high end pretty leniently. Good luck in your pursuit of sound, lol. I'd like to see some pics of the install or the finished product once you've got them in.

I work for a stereo shop and have seen tons of different brands. Kickers sound ok, but the highs get a little muddy. Boss is something you put in a car that your goin to sell. Best bang for your buck, in my opinion is going to be Alpine. The 6.5 s series sound great and are around $100 a set, We also sell Memphis, which sound great, but they don't have much bass response. Cadence also makes a very good sounding set for under $100. Hope this helps
