Black lug nuts?

I am getting black wheels for my 2007 Z71 and I am having a hard time finding some black lug nuts for it.

I have heard they need to be 14mm 1.5 long due to the longer stems. Can anyone confirm?

Does anyone know where I can get some black lug nuts that will fit?

Another, possibly cheaper (?) option, is to re-use the same lugs if you can, and get a set of the black plastic caps that go over them. I just put some black powdercoated stock 07 Yukon 6-spoke 17 inch rims w/ 285/70/17 BFGs on my 'hoe, and put the black caps over the lugs. I'll get some pics up when it stops raining here in SoCal.

Got the rims off ebay ($100 for all 4). The black caps came with the rims, and they look great. You can get them for sure at the dealer.

Deejayrock, I decided to go with some chrome lugs as they accent they symbol on my wheels. I looked around and it was basically impossible to get black lug nuts in 14mm. They have all kinds of tuner lugs in 12mm, but no 14mm. So, if I do decide I want to go black with my lugs, I will just paint the tops of them. My wheels have such deep pockets for the lugs, you couldn't tell anyway.

Hey 06 thank you for the response.....Do you know if the lugs have to be open end or closed, or does it matter just as long as they are 14mm x 1.5.

Seems like it would work, I just dont know if they can be closed-ended or if they have to be open-ended like the ones that are on the Tahoe.
Can anyone specify?

You could always get them powdercoated as well.

Mine are closed end. Tell you what, I will check tonight to see what brand they are and the part #. They are long lugs and require a special socket. Mine are 14mm x 1.5 and they still have the conical bottom.

I stopped into a Discount Tire and ordered a set of 24's and they asked if i wanted black lug nuts, but i said it wasnt necessary cause the wheels i ordered dont show the lug nuts. So give Dicounttire.com a try
