Bluetooth sound is horible on 2012 tahoe

I thought it was my phone (dumb phone) but i now have an i phone. It still sounds bad for incoming callers. Is there some solution or sound control for the blue tooth that i am overlooking.

It's still possible it's the phone. It's not often I don't think bluetooth doesn't sound terrible.
