change oil/check level light

A couple weeks ago my change oil light came on. I am changing it this weekend but now the check level light is coming on also. I check my oil regularly and it is athe the max level. Why is it on? I tried restting everything by turning the key on (not running) pressing the gas 3 times but the batt. light only blinks once and it doesn't reset. Any ideas?

You'll have to step on it all the way down (my brother had to remove his floormats to clear the light in his dmax each time). I'd just wait until it's changed and you'll be fine, or try clearing it again but I had to push myself up in the seat to clear mine.

I have tried lightly pushing it and I've tried stomping on it and pressing it as far as it would go. Will it reset if I disconnect the battery?

I got in earlier and it didn't come on but the next time it did. I am thinking there's a short maybe . Where is the sensor located on these things?

It's doing it again, I just changed my oil and the lights keep coming on. Where is the sensor located?

You gotta step on it hard three time and the light should flash three times, then you're ok.

I have stepped on it, HARD, and it doesn't shut off. I drove it today and it never came on, it's intermittent.
