I have a 99 4wd Tahoe that needs all four front upper control arm bushings replaced. This is per a local mechanic after getting the front axle replaced.

My question is, how critical is it to replace front upper control arm bushings? I'm an electrical guy, not mechanical, so I really don't know much about this sort of stuff.

Any insights, despite not having much information to give? Thanks

if they are very worn , dont put it off. i believe they are pressed in. if you have any mechanical skills , you can do it yourself.

If your upper control arm bushings are bad enough, it will really affect how the vehicle handles. If they are bad enough, they can also affect alignment. You should replace them.
