Economy/performance mods

New member here! I have a 2002 Yukon SLT (leather, 4x4, on-star) and I am looking for better mileage/performance. I previously owned another 2002 Yukon SLE (2wd, cloth interior) that averaged 15 mpg. My current truck averages 13.6 mpg. I can't believe the added weight of the t-case and front axle would account for the difference. Any thoughts or suggestions? I have heard of decent results from intake (Airaid etc.) and exhaust (muffler) changes, but lack quantifiable info.

it depends on the mods you're going to do for your ride. just because its stock, doesn't mean it wont give you better performance. cold air intake or exhaust mods can put a few gains, but it will also depend on other parts of your engine. did you know that new tires can help too?
