engine wont start?!?!

ok jumped into my vehicle and tried to start the engine.
but it wont start? :confused2:
the car ignition wont catch at all
the navigation screen is REALLY dim
is anti theft mode on and i do not know how to deactivate it?
i remember when i was driving home this afternoon the navigation went dark all of a sudden and i did see the lock/car light turn on?
anyone have this problem?
any info would help

yeah you gotta call onstar and they help you on that..
cuz it happened to my venture.. if you have a different set of keys try both of them

did some internet research seems like it is the passlock system
leave your key on the ignition for 10min then try to start

update:
tried the turn on mode for 10min and then start about 5x
tried onstar, they could not help.
had the vehicle towed to the nearest gm dealership to get the issue resolved.
dealership said prob battery issue which knocked out the antitheft system
regardless..
boooooo to GM for making me run around like this for an 08 vehicle
